Caught in the net #1 - Travel back in time with Arnswalde VR

Hi!
I want to share with you something that looks amazing and very promising. While I have been surfing the web today, I came across polish studio Odyssey, which focuses on propagating VR technologies. They have a copule of really amazing projects in their portfolio - eg. 400 sq. meters of polish highest part of mountains (Tatra mountains).

As you can read on their official website, entire area is recreated with an accuracy of 1 m! I have an opportunity to actually be there in the real world and their render is unbelivable realistic.

But this is nothing compared to their newest project. Odyssey is trying to recreate entire town from Prussia from the beggining of XX. century! This project looks amazingly huge and complicated, but you can actually see it for yourself now!

The entire project costs about 50 000 $ and with use of VR googles, you will be actually able to walk all those streets and travel back in time!

For now I see a copule of things that looks bad now. As you can see on the video, textures looks quite flat now. Of course, they have so much models, that it will take a lot of time to finish every part of it, but I really hope, they improve textures quality. Especially roads look too flat. And this horse - maybe better to remove it from the scene...

If you want to stay in touch with this studio you can follow Odyssey twitter here.
